Community Spotlight: It’s Time to Study Up on History Class Brewing Company

Everyone, take your seats. You’re going to want to jot down notes because what we’re going to learn today is certain to expand your worldview on good beer and good food. Now, before we begin, it’s important to remember one thing: Florida knows how to do beer—so check out History Class Brewing Company.
Located in the heart of Bay County, History Class Brewing Company founded itself as a pioneer in the local beer scene. Each brewmaster and employee prides themselves on sustaining a brewery with personality and relatability; this is an approach which has led to a unique menu on all fronts.
With that being said, let’s examine the first chapter.
Brewing: A Cultural Amenity

Unlike other breweries that sport commonalities on their menu, History Class Brewing Company doesn’t offer any flagship beers. Rather, they bathe in providing variety—a revolving palette of drinks and styles. Their beer universe consists of hazy IPAs, ciders, stouts, and porters. There’s not one particular style they place primary focus on—a benefit for those who want a fluid experience with each visit.
Still, even without any flagship beers, the neighborhood brewery has over one dozen beers on tap. One day, you might find yourself with the Union Soldier—a New England-style IPA dry hopped to the brim with a citrus-heavy front, and musky, dry finish; and another day, you may be delighted with The Hero—an English-style porter crafted with a crisp chocolate taste.
Let Them Eat (With Their Drinks)
As we start the second chapter, please refer back to our notes from earlier: “good beer and good food.” We’ve just discussed the benefits of their great drink selection—and now we’re going to focus on its counterpart, the dining menu. “What sort of food do they serve to complement the vibe of a brewery,” you might be asking. The answer? They have a lot to choose from.

Beer-approved food is as good as it gets at History Class Brewing Company. Dive head-first into the Truffle Fries, a delicious order of fries tossed in truffle oil with grated Parmesan cheese and parsley; the Pimento Cheese and Fire Crackers; the Fresh Pork Rinds; or the classic Smoked Chicken Wings served with a side of Alabama white dipping sauce.
It looks like we’re running out of time today, so let’s look at just one more thing.
